Turf and Garden Powertrain Technician

Role snapshot

• Drive to multiple customers daily to diagnose and repair outdoor power equipment (lawn mowers, lawn tractors, leaf blowers, etc.).
• Deliver a consistently excellent customer experience.
• Offer value-added solutions that help keep homes clean, comfortable, and protected.
• Maintain an organized, well-functioning company truck and manage parts effectively.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay and rewards

• $18 - $20 hourly base rate, depending on experience, certification, and location.

What you need to succeed

• High school diploma or general education degree.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude and comfort with testing/repair tools.
• Background repairing and diagnosing home appliances or outdoor power equipment preferred.
• Ability to follow documented processes to ensure quality workmanship.
• Smartphone proficiency, including ordering parts.
• Valid driver’s license for the state(s) in which you work.
• Ability to travel up to 100%.
• Ability to work variable and flexible hours, including required overtime.
• Read, understand, and apply technical documentation to resolve issues and complete tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Physical ability to constantly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 lbs; frequently up to 50 lbs; and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Constant reaching outward; handling/fingering; standing, walking, sitting, and typing using a keyboard. Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, turning, stooping, climbing, and crawling. Occasional reaching above shoulder.
• Ability to drive automatic transmission vehicle.
