    Description

    TUMBLING INSTRUCTOR

    Tumbling Instructors teach beginner to intermediate/advanced tumbling classes. This role involves introducing students to various techniques and. This role involves designing and maintaining high-quality programming, planning, creating a fun learning environment, and with professional delivery. The Tumbling Instructor is tasked with maximizing class participation, enhancing participant retention and promoting positive interactions. 
     
    PROGRAM DATES/TIMES
    Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays
    4:30-7:30 p.m. 
     
    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Conduct gymnastics/tumbling instruction to students of various skill levels with provided guide/lesson plans.
    • Instruct students on proper techniques, form, and safety guidelines
    • Create a positive and supportive learning environment. 
    • Provide feedback to students to help them improve their skills. 
    • Implement behavior management strategies to ensure a productive class environment.
    • Provide verbal and visual instruction on proper body mechanics.
    • Modify specific techniques to accommodate various skill levels.
    • Ensure maximum participation by providing encouragement, movement throughout the class, and individual guidance as needed.
    • Prepare studio or classroom and ensure cleanliness of all facilities and equipment.
    • Communicate with participants and parents, depending on program and level, and maintain good relationships with staff and public.
    • Maintain appropriate safety measures for program participants.
    • Report any issues with equipment or facility immediately to management.
     
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • 1+ years experience in leading tumbling or gymnastics classes.
    • Previous experience in teaching tumbling/gymnastics techniques, is preferred but not required.
    • Experience in program design is preferred.
    • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
     
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    • Ability to run, stoop, kneel, climb, bend, lift, push and pull up to 20 pounds, using proper body mechanics and techniques.
    • Ability to sustain prolonged visual concentration.
    • Ability to stand/sit for prolonged periods of time.
     
    PAY RATE
    $20.00 per hour 
     
    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    The work is done in a recreational environment that is typically indoors. Noise level may vary, depending on the type of class provided.
