    Trusts & Estates Paralegal


    Location: New York, NY
    Schedule: Hybrid (2–3 days in-office)
    Classification: Non-Exempt
    Compensation: Up to $185,000 + comprehensive benefits

    SourcePro Search is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Trusts & Estates Paralegal to support a prestigious law firm’s New York-based team. This is an exciting opportunity for a T&E paralegal who enjoys complex estate administration and values working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role offers a hybrid schedule and exposure to sophisticated trusts and estates matters for high-net-worth clients.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Manage all aspects of estate administration, including preparing and filing probate/administration petitions, collecting and valuing assets, and processing bequests

    • Assist with the preparation of estate planning documents such as Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Health Care Directives

    • Prepare and file federal and state estate tax returns, including IRS Form 706 and applicable state filings

    • Form LLCs, apply for EINs, and prepare Receipt and Release Agreements

    • Review and assist with fiduciary accountings for estates and trusts

    • Maintain calendars and deadlines for estate administration and planning matters

    • Ensure efficient handling of filings with Surrogate’s Courts and other government agencies

    What You’ll Bring:

    • Bachelor’s degree required

    • 5+ years of Trusts & Estates paralegal experience in a law firm setting

    • Deep knowledge of estate administration, trust administration, and estate tax preparation

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with One Source (FPS)HotDocs, and Surrogate’s Court electronic filing systems

    • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to interact with attorneys, clients, and financial advisors

    • A team-oriented, proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure

    • Flexibility to work overtime when necessary

    • A high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism in all work
