About the Role


The In-Home Caregiver role exists to deliver consistent, dignified, non-medical care in the client's home according to the care plan, while maintaining the standards that make My Happy Place Home Care the agency families trust. When this role is done right, the family knows their loved one is safe, the client feels respected, and the agency keeps its promise to deliver peace of mind on every shift.


What You Will Be Responsible For


  • Provide personal hygiene assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Assist with ambulation, transfers, and Activities of Daily Living
  • Plan and prepare meals, complete light housekeeping, and run errands or accompany the client to appointments
  • Provide medication reminders only — we are a non-medical agency and do not administer or assist with taking medication
  • Document each visit accurately and on time
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and report any unusual incidents

Compensation & Schedule


Pay Range: $14.00 to $15.00 per hour, paid weekly every Friday


Schedule:


  • Shifts available 7 days per week, including overnights and weekends
  • Minimum commitment: 20 hours per week
  • Shifts assigned based on availability submitted weekly
  • On-call shifts available with premium pay
Non-Negotiable Requirements


To be considered for this role, you must:


  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Have a reliable vehicle to drive to and from shifts
  • Have current automobile insurance
  • Pass a state and federal background check (no felony convictions within the last 10 years)
  • Pass a drug screen
  • Be authorized to work in the United States
Experience Level — All Welcome


We hire across three experience levels:


  • New to caregiving and excited to start a new career
  • Family caregivers who want to help others
  • Caregivers, HHAs, or CNAs with 6+ months of experience
