Description

A Trust Officer administers trusts, estates, investment accounts, IRAs, and other fiduciary relationships on behalf of individuals and families. They interpret trust documents, coordinate distributions, maintain regulatory compliance, and collaborate with beneficiaries, attorneys, accountants, and financial advisors. Trust Officers also strengthen existing client relationships and may develop new trust and wealth-management business.

This community bank is seeking an experienced Trust Officer to join their team. If you possess exceptional relationship-management skills, sound judgement and clear communication, this could be the opportunity for you! 

Salary: $75,000–$120,000 Annually 

Trust Officer Responsibilities:

  • Administer personal trusts, estates, guardianships, investment management accounts, IRAs, and custody relationships in accordance with governing documents and fiduciary requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, beneficiaries, attorneys, accountants, financial advisors, and internal banking partners while delivering highly personalized service.
  • Interpret trust documents, monitor distributions and account activity, complete account reviews, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
  • Develop new business through professional relationships, client referrals, community involvement, and collaboration with commercial lenders, private bankers, and wealth-management professionals.

Ideal candidates will have previous experience in trust administration, estate planning, fiduciary services, wealth management, or a related banking role. A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related discipline is preferred. CTFA, JD, CFP, or other relevant credentials are highly valued but may not be required.
