Key Responsibilities:
Draft essential estate planning, probate, and trust administration documents.
Assist with advanced estate planning and funding documentation.
Provide comprehensive support to multiple attorneys within the Trusts & Estates practice.
Maintain knowledge of the procedural rules governing probate, trusts, and estate administration.
Calculate, track, and manage all legal and procedural deadlines.
File documents electronically and through traditional court systems in accordance with local requirements.
Coordinate attorney calendars, client meetings, and court?related scheduling.
Organize and maintain digital and physical case files.
Assist with billing processes, including time entry, invoice revisions, and expense monitoring.
Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, and internal departments.
Support business development activities, including event coordination and professional outreach.
Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong follow-through.
Requirements:
Associate degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum of 5 years of Trust & Estates Paralegal experience, preferably in a mid-to-large Florida law firm.
Florida probate experience preferred.
Ability to support multiple attorneys simultaneously.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Professional, compassionate, and client-centered demeanor.
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Experience with law firm case management and billing software.
Knowledge of iManage, Smart Time, Aderant, WealthCounsel, EstateWorks, or HotDocs is a plus.
