Overview

The Los Angeles, CA office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Temporary (with potential for permanent placement) Trust Analyst. This position is expected to be for a duration of 3 months based on a 37.50-hour workweek. The ideal candidate will work a schedule of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

The following list of essential functions is not exhaustive, and other duties may be assigned in addition to those listed. The items listed are considered daily functions associated with this position. The Trust Analyst will collaborate with billing attorneys, office administrators, billing/eBilling teams, and account receivable specialists to research and clear trust matter balances per state bar guidelines. This individual will regularly coordinate and consult with management and cross-function teams regarding trust account activity and confirm information regarding the movement of client funds, as well as assist with bank reconciliations, research, and provide general support to the Firm's accounting function. The ideal candidate will have the ability to perform these tasks with an extreme attention to protocol, bar guidelines, proper detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

Job Specifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance
  • 3 years' experience in accounting, account balancing, and reconciliation
  • Law firm experience a plus, but not required
  • Experience with large professional organizations or large law firm financial systems such as Aderant Expert/Elite helpful, but not required
  • Ability to execute under pressure and within tight timelines while juggling multiple projects
  • Superior knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Must be able to transition efficiently between different systems
  • 10-key speed required
