A regional litigation defense firm is hiring a transportation attorney for its Sewell, New Jersey office. The seat is a backfill, so there is a full docket waiting.
The work: defending trucking and commercial motor vehicle claims from assignment through resolution. Pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions and trial preparation. You report to one partner and work his book with him, which means real mentoring rather than a department queue.
Who fits: four to seven years of civil defense litigation, ideally with transportation or motor vehicle exposure. Admitted in New Jersey. Able to run files with limited supervision.
The details: hybrid, and the firm is flexible about the split. A 1,900-hour billable target. Compensation based on experience. There is a real path forward: a current equity partner started at the firm as a law clerk.
