Insurance Defense Attorney – Trucking and Transportation Litigation

A respected and growing law firm is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney with experience handling trucking, transportation, and personal injury litigation. The attorney will manage insurance defense matters involving commercial motor vehicles, trucking accidents, automobile accidents, bodily injury, wrongful death, premises liability, and other civil litigation claims.

Responsibilities

• Manage trucking and insurance defense cases from initial investigation through resolution or trial
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and case evaluations
• Take and defend depositions
• Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials
• Analyze medical records, accident reports, expert opinions, and damages
• Work with insurance carriers, claims professionals, corporate clients, experts, and opposing counsel
• Develop litigation strategies and provide clients with timely case updates
• Negotiate settlements when appropriate

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Active Oklahoma license in good standing
• Insurance defense, trucking defense, transportation litigation, or civil litigation experience
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and case-management skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple active matters
• Trial and deposition experience is preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
