This position will dispatch truck drivers for deliveries to customers and provide necessary communications to complete tasks.
Schedule Monday - Friday - Full-Time must be able to work a specific assigned work schedule 40-50 hours per week. Flexibility must be available for after hour on call duties.
Must have reliable transportation/daycare that does not interfere with work schedule and attendance
Dispatcher:
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
- Minimum 2 year experience dispatching within the trucking industry
- Ability to think quickly and maintain positive attitude in a fast paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail
- Computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook.
- Ability to learn software program used to manage truck operations.
- Ability to write and speak English. BILINGUAL ENGLISH/SPANISH IS A PLUS but not required.
- FOLLOW-UP SKILLS ARE IMPERATIVE.
- Experience working with owner/operators is also a plus but not required.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always
- Assess customer needs and timing of deliveries
- Plan and Manage daily delivery schedule for drivers
- Provide "Top Notch" customer service for existing accounts
- Answer all incoming phone calls promptly and courteously
- Monitor e-mail for incoming orders, inventory updates, and communication between team members
- Create loads in dispatch system
- Divide dispatch responsibilities with other team members'
