Job Title: Truck Technician
Location: Central City, NE
Pay: $22.00+/hr (based on experience)
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: Monday Friday 7: 00 AM 5: 00 PM + rotating Saturdays 7: 00 AM 12: 00 PM
Position Overview
In this role, you ll be responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing trucks to ensure safe and reliable operation. You ll focus on essential service work including brakes, tires, preventative maintenance and basic mechanical repairs.
What You ll Do
Inspect trucks for mechanical issues and safety concerns
Perform brake service and repairs
Mount, balance, rotate, and replace tires
Complete preventative maintenance services
Diagnose basic mechanical problems and recommend solutions
Perform minor repairs and adjustments
Complete work orders and maintain accurate service records
Follow all safety procedures and shop standards
What You Bring
Experience in truck, automotive, or heavy equipment maintenance
Knowledge of brake systems and tire service
Ability to safely use hand and power tools
Basic diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Valid driver s license (CDL is a plus, not required)
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift heavy equipment
Ability to stand for extended periods
Comfortable working in a shop environment
