SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Drives a truck to transport materials to and from specified destinations, while assisting the truck helper to load and unloadDemonstrates safe driving habits and techniquesDemonstrates knowledge of all state and federal mandates concerning operations of truck equipment and maintains proper driver's licenseDemonstrates proper loading and unloading techniques so as to preserve the integrity of the items being transportedInspects truck equipment such as tires, lights, brakes, etc., and reports any item that is in need of repairAssists in Distribution Center as requiredAssumes any other duties as may be assignedConduct all deliveries with 100% accuracyPerform all duties in a professional manner with great attention to detail. Be courteous, conscientious, cooperative and observantTimely and accurately report completed deliveries including but not limited to the person who accepted the delivery, the location of where materials were left and if any issues arose during the course of the delivery process.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of district personnel in a professional manner whether in person, over the phone or through email.Computer and other technology skills required. The employee must also possess and maintain a valid Illinois Class "C" or better driver's license. This job requires the ability to regularly lift a minimum of 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds, and periodically there is a need to lift in excess of 100 pounds, which may require assistance. 1.
