Job Summary:
Truck Driver responsibilities include driving in a safe and efficient manner transporting company products from one location to another within South Carolina.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Experience operating a box truck or larger vehicle.
- Must be able to follow all State driving requirements and follow traffic laws.
- Must have a good Motor Vehicle Record (3-year minimum MVR required).
- Transporting flags, fabric, non-hazardous materials.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical, CDL license preferred, but not required.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
Education and Experience:
- Must be 21 years or older with at least 5 years of experience driving box truck or similar sized vehicle.
- Organized and able to pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to understand simple instructions and communicate with shipping personnel.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to climb into and out of box truck safely.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical and/or eye exam.
- Must be able to see street signs, traffic and operate a commercial vehicle without trouble seeing.
- Able to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions required for this position.
