Job Description Summary The truck driver is responsible for safe travel to and from the job sites they are sent to. A truck driver is also responsible for gathering onsite materials, band lumber loads, strapping down loads, and making sure the load they are hauling arrives safely to the job site and is responsible for driving defensively and safely at all times. This position reports to the Truck Boss/Dispatcher and to the Foreman on each job site. The driver must obey all laws. This is a Safety Sensitive position. Job site's in Northern Nevada and Northern California. Requirements: Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Possess the ability to follow instructions as directed by a dispatcher/foreman/superintendent. Possess the ability to drive the truck safely to and from job sites as well as on the job sites. This is a Safety Sensitive Position.
Physical
Working Conditions Primarily outdoor activity during all seasons under wet/humid conditions. Environment also includes frequent work around motor vehicles, moving equipment, vibrating equipment, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, loud noises and working in high and hazardous places. This is a safety sensitive position. Essential Functions The basic function of a truck driver is to load and haul, equipment and materials, balancing and tying down loads, to and from the various job sites in a safe manner.
