The SPREE - Grants Program at St. Catherine University invites applications for a full-time TRIO Success Coach position.

The TRIO Success Coach will fulfill the role as described in the TRIO SSS grant, serving as the primary academic advisor for assigned TRIO SSS students, developing and implementing programming for TRIO SSS students, and supporting program operations including outreach, recordkeeping, and evaluation. The Success Coach will employ a holistic approach, including financial aid support; resource referrals; graduate education preparation; support accessing community-engaged learning, career development, global studies, and other high-impact opportunities; and consideration of how other aspects of students' lives affect academics.

The TRIO Success Coach will:
  • Manage and advise caseload of 60-70 TRIO SSS participants.
  • Deliver proactive advising services to participants. Refer to appropriate campus offices based on assessed need.
  • Communicate with participants' faculty and academic support staff to surface and remediate any challenges or concerns.
  • Design individual student success plans. Document and track student progress against agreed upon goals and program expectations outlined in success plans.
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver enrichment events that support student success.
  • Coordinate with Student Accessibility and Accommodations, Career Development, Office for Scholarly Engagement, Financial Literacy, Centers for Equity and Belonging, and other offices/programs to provide co-curricular activities and opportunities for participants.
  • Support major processes required to accomplish grant goals. Assist with recruitment and eligibility screening for program participants.
  • Present information about the TRIO SSS program to relevant audiences on and off campus. Regularly update participant files to maintain complete and accurate program records.
  • Assist director with data collection to support program reporting requirements.
  • Participate in regular Academic Advising, TRIO SSS, and other relevant meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Student Affairs, or a related field.
  • Undergraduate academic advising or related experience.
  • Experience supporting student populations similar to TRIO SSS-eligible students (low-income, first-generation,
  • and students with disabilities).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workplace.
  • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects while maintaining high-contact relationships with students.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree.
  • Experience advising students in TRIO programs.
  • Experience applying academic advising approaches and retention best practices in higher education.
  • Three or more years of experience within a college or university advising, career, tutoring, or related
  • department.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver workshops and training.

Compensation:Annual wage is $42,474 - $49,500 depending on qualifications and experience.

The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors. St. Catherine reserves the right to modify or adjust compensation depending on University needs.
