Trimmer

Trim employees perform the different functions required in the Trim area such as loading the lines, watching for foreign objects, trimming the head of lettuce, operating the Bin Dumper in a safe manner, adding color and unloading Romaine boxes. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES : Must be able to stand for long period of time trimming head of lettuce, loading the line, watching for foreign objects in the salad, maintaining the floors swept and clear of debris, adding color and operating the Bin Dumper.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Trim employees perform the different functions required in the Trim area such as loading the lines, watching for foreign objects, trimming the head of lettuce, operating the Bin Dumper in a safe manner, adding color and unloading Romaine boxes.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must be able to stand for long period of time trimming head of lettuce, loading the line, watching for foreign objects in the salad, maintaining the floors swept and clear of debris, adding color and operating the Bin Dumper.
• Must be flexible to work in assigned area of the day.
• Must have general understanding of plant operations and various departments.
• Must be a self-starter and possess initiative.
• Must be able to learn new assignments.
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of management.

• Employee must adhere to all policies, practices, and SOP’s related to producing Safe Quality Food (SQF)
• Ensure the integrity and continued operation of the food safety system in the event of organizational or personnel changes within the company or associated facilities
• Support special projects and other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND LICENSES/CERTIFICATION:

• High School Diploma or GED

REQUIRED SKILLS, CAPABILITIES, EXPERIENCE:

• Should be able to read and work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Previous food manufacturing experience is preferred.

SAFETY/GMP REQUIREMENTS:

• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in accordance with company policy
• Follow company safety rules, report workplace hazards or injuries immediately, and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).

WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work overtime including weekends as required.
