HumanHire is partnered with a 100+ year old law firm to find a Trial Attorney to join their growing team in Nassau County, NY. This position offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated insurance defense, labor law, and construction litigation matters with significant courtroom and trial exposure.

• Pay: $215K Base Salary plus Bonus
• Bonus: 10%+

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution.
• Handle litigation involving labor law, construction accidents, general liability, and related casualty matters.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, legal correspondence, and other case-related documents.
• Conduct depositions, hearings, conferences, negotiations, and other litigation proceedings.
• Develop case strategy and work toward favorable resolutions through settlement or trial.
• Take an active role in preparing and trying cases in state and federal court.
• Communicate directly with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and other parties throughout the litigation process.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Insurance Defense experience
• Experience with Labor Law and Construction Litigation
• Trial experience required — candidates should have a genuine interest in trying cases
• Active New York Bar Admission required
