Position Overview
Join Cumberland County's Justice Services Department and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals navigating the criminal justice system. The Treatment Court Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the County's specialty treatment court programs, including programs serving survivors of human trafficking.
The Treatment Court Coordinator manages a caseload of specialty treatment court participants and coordinates referrals, conducts intake interviews, facilitates assessments and supportive services, prepares reports for the court and treatment team, assists with drug screenings, and manages grant reporting requirements. The position also researches and supports funding opportunities that strengthen and expand treatment court services.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in a human services field and two (2) years of criminal justice or substance abuse related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Management Preferences:
Experience in the human trafficking field and/or experience with treatment court management

In accordance with Session Law 2025-16, candidates selected for positions involving work with children in any capacity will be required to undergo a fingerprint-based criminal history check conducted by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI).
Driving is an essential function of this position. To be considered, you must have a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record. If your drivers license is from another state, you will be required to obtain and show proof of a valid NC drivers license within 60 days of hire.
Successful candidates who receive a conditional offer of employment with Cumberland County must pass pre-employment screenings, including criminal history checks and drug screenings, as required by Cumberland County Policies and Procedures, prior to beginning work or receiving a final offer of employment. Refusal to submit to testing or testing positive for prohibited substances will result in the withdrawal of the conditional employment offer.
