Job Description:
The Treatment Counselor implements a wide range of alcohol and drug use programs and provides case management and counseling services to inmates/residents assigned to the treatment program(s). The current shift includes Monday-Friday, with three day shifts from 0700-1530 and two late-night shifts from 1230-2100. There is potential to resume working weekends, which would involve working every fifth weekend (Saturday/Sunday). Candidates must be fully licensed with AOD certification and possess a valid drivers license. Credential verification is required. The role requires a minimum of a High School diploma or GED, at least one year of full-time counseling experience in a substance use disorder program, and relevant certification as outlined below.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year full-time counseling experience in a substance use disorder program
- Possession of an Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Counselor Certification from an accredited certifying organization (CADC I/II, CADC-CS, LAADC, LAADC-S, CATC levels, SUDCC levels, etc.)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid drivers license
