    Description

Join Amazon"s Treasury Business Partner (TBP) team within Treasury Strategy & Markets as a Treasury Manager. You"ll advise Amazon"s business and finance leaders and support some of Amazon"s largest capital expenditure initiatives: structuring and executing multi-billion dollar asset financing solutions, optimizing working capital metrics, launching strategic payment innovations, and developing exposure management frameworks across the enterprise.

Our team delivers innovative, best-in-class treasury solutions in partnership with business and finance leadership. We pride ourselves on customer obsession, tackling challenges of all magnitudes, and delivering effective resolutions. As a member of TBP, you"ll be at the forefront of financial innovation, partnering with Directors and Finance Managers on projects that inform Amazon"s global financial strategy, with regular exposure to VP and CFO leadership. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial success of one of the world"s most dynamic companies while building your treasury expertise in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

    Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will serve as a Treasury advisor to your business partners, with a focus on asset-backed financing, working capital optimization, exposure management, and strategic payment solutions.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Building strong relationships with business and business finance leadership
    • Analyzing business plans to identify opportunities and financial risks
    • Developing and implementing scalable Treasury solutions for specific business cases
    • Quantifying financial impacts and presenting data-driven recommendations
    • Leveraging AI to create or review financial models to support strategic decisions
    • Applying and driving adoption of Treasury"s frameworks and control mechanisms within your business areas
    • Preparing and presenting Treasury recommendations to business and finance leadership, including Director- and VP-level reviews
    • Partnering with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Legal, Accounting, Tax, and external banking partners, on domestic and global initiatives

    A day in the life

Your morning starts analyzing a data center expansion plan, working with your finance partner to build financial models that evaluate the own vs. lease decision and assess whether an asset-level financing solution is needed. Next, you have your recurring 1:1 with finance directors to understand their current priorities and any challenges that need Treasury"s support. You then present structured financing recommendations to a finance director, addressing implementation questions with cross-functional partners from Legal, Tax, and Accounting. After lunch, you facilitate a working session with Finance, Legal, Tax, and Treasury teams to develop scalable payment solutions for a new business initiative, navigating ambiguity to identify core treasury requirements. You spend the afternoon building models and presentations to support an upcoming leadership review on working capital optimization, coordinating with external banking partners. You close the day presenting treasury solutions to a business VP, responding to challenges on your assumptions and moving forward with implementation planning.

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
