What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, analytical, collaborative, and motivated by public service. Competitive candidates will have experience or demonstrated knowledge in areas such as:
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. The successful candidate must be comfortable interacting with investment professionals and preparing materials for the State Treasurer, Deputy Treasurers, pension boards, legislators, and other stakeholders.

The position also provides exposure that can be difficult to find elsewhere. You will work with experienced public investment professionals, nationally recognized investment managers and consultants, major financial institutions, and senior State decision-makers while developing a broad understanding of institutional investing and public finance.
We are looking for someone who wants to bring strong investment skills to public service-and continue developing those skills while helping protect Iowa's financial future.
