    Position Summary

    The Treasury Analyst supports the day-to-day cash management, banking, and payment operations of Madison Capital Group Holdings. This role is responsible for processing and monitoring wire transfers, ACH payments, and internal transfers; maintaining bank account records and access controls; supporting fraud prevention and risk management efforts; and ensuring the timely, accurate processing of recurring payments across the organization's entities. The Treasury Analyst works closely with accountants, controllers, banking partners, and other internal teams to ensure the accuracy, security, and compliance of all treasury operations.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Cash Management & Daily Operations

    • Prepare and distribute the daily cash snapshot report summarizing corporate account balances.

    • Enter and verify approved wire transfers, ACH payments, and internal bank transfers; maintain complete payment documentation (request forms, confirmations, approvals, and supporting materials) in SharePoint and notify requestors once payments are released.

    • Monitor ACH and check Positive Pay alerts and exception notifications daily; complete pay/return decisions ahead of bank cutoff times and alert relevant teams to approaching deadlines.

    • Monitor incoming deposit activity and process check deposits via remote deposit capture, branch deposit, or other approved banking channels; investigate and resolve returned or rejected deposits.

    • Review ACH Notice of Returns, identify root causes, and coordinate with internal teams to update banking information and resubmit payments as needed.

    Bank Account & System Administration

    • Maintain and update the Master Bank Account List to reflect account changes and new account openings.

    • Open and close bank accounts and maintain related documentation, including account-opening files, EIN documentation, and wire instructions.

    • Manage online banking access and entitlements, including periodic review of authorized signers and users, removal of unnecessary access, and processing of banking-access changes related to employee separations (online banking, approval authority, transaction initiation, tokens, MFA, and Purchasing Card access).

    • Administer the Purchasing Card program, including processing increase requests, fraud notifications, dispute claims, and card maintenance requests.

    • Create and maintain bank accounts within the property management system, including uploading wire instructions, formatting checks, and configuring Positive Pay entitlements.

    Recurring Payment Processing

    • Process scheduled and recurring payments — including rent, loan payments, retainer payments, owner/board distributions, and vendor payments — in accordance with approved amounts and schedules.

    • Prepare and distribute sublease rent invoices and review, save, and log monthly rent invoices.

    • Complete monthly interest sweep transfers and shortfall funding, and support annual sweep account true-up activities.

    • Conduct quarterly reviews of recurring wires, ACH payments, and internal transfers to confirm amounts, timing, recipients, and supporting documentation remain current.

    Fraud, Risk & Compliance

    • Investigate potential fraud alerts, unauthorized transactions, and suspicious banking activity; coordinate with banks and internal stakeholders on mitigation and resolution, and document incidents and corrective actions.

    • Evaluate the effectiveness of fraud prevention controls on an ongoing basis and identify opportunities for process improvement.

    • Respond to past-due and account inactivity notices, coordinating resolution with applicable teams, and support setup and maintenance of bank alerts and notifications.

    • Support the secure disposal of bank and loan statements in accordance with the company's record retention policy.

    Documentation, Reporting & Process Support

    • Complete, submit, file, and retain ACH setup forms, credit applications, and other banking-related documentation as requested.

    • Respond to requests from accountants, controllers, and banking partners regarding online banking, account setup, and other treasury matters.

    • Document changes to Treasury policies and procedures and support the review and approval of standard operating procedure (SOP) updates prior to distribution to company stakeholders.

    • Field incoming calls related to banking activity, verify wire instructions, and participate in bank and internal meetings as needed.

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

    • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a treasury, cash management, or accounting department required.

    • Experience in commercial real estate or a multi-entity organization is a plus.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Working knowledge of treasury operations, including wire transfers, ACH processing, Positive Pay, and bank account administration.

    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks against bank cutoff deadlines.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with banking portals and property management/ERP systems (e.g., Yardi) preferred but not required.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across internal teams, banking partners, and external stakeholders.

    • Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive financial information.

    • Familiarity with fraud prevention practices and internal controls is a plus.

    Work Environment

    This role operates in a standard office environment 5 days a week during banking hours and may require occasional flexibility to accommodate bank processing deadlines and cutoff times.
