CareVet's Full-Time Traveling DVM role is designed for experienced veterinarians who want it all: financial stability, real clinical freedom, and the energy that comes from working with great teams in different communities. Compensation
- $200,000–$275,000 annually (based on schedule and structure)
- $275,000 at full-time, 40 hrs/week — or $135/hr without benefits
- $100/hr with the full benefits package

Responsibilities:
What You'll Do
- Examine patients to assess health and diagnose problems
- Treat and dress wounds
- Perform surgery
- Test for and vaccinate against disease
- Operate medical equipment, including x-ray machines
- Advise owners on general care, medical conditions, and treatment options
- Prescribe medication
- Collaborate closely with the team to deliver high-quality care
Qualifications:
What You Bring
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree
- Willingness to hold licensure in the states you'll be working — multi-state licensure is a plus for this traveling role
- Experience practicing independently and comfort stepping into new teams and hospitals
- Genuine compassion for both pets and the people who love them
- Skilled, precise hands and excellent dexterity handling animals
- The composure to make fast, sound decisions when an animal's wellbeing is on the line
- A real understanding of animals and their behavior
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
