Traveling Superintendent

The Traveling Superintendent will oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing on-site operations, coordinating with teams, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

The company has built a collaborative, performance-driven culture and is looking for a Superintendent who can represent the organization in the field, build strong subcontractor relationships, and consistently drive successful project execution.

Description

• Lead day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Maintain project schedules and ensure critical milestones are achieved.
• Review plans, specifications, and project documents to identify potential issues.
• Conduct regular site meetings and coordinate activities across multiple trades.
• Enforce company and project safety requirements and maintain a safe jobsite.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure projects meet quality standards.
• Coordinate inspections, deliveries, site logistics, and sequencing of work.
• Identify and resolve field conflicts, delays, and construction issues.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, schedules, and project documentation.
• Communicate regularly with Project Managers, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Profile

• Commercial construction experience, with Superintendent-level responsibility.
• Proven experience managing commercial projects from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, sequencing, and scheduling.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Strong subcontractor and vendor management skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong understanding of construction safety requirements and OSHA standards.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Proficiency with construction management software and standard technology.
• Relevant commercial construction education, certifications, or training are a plus.
