Job Description

Provide strategic leadership and direction to project teams throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure consistent implementation of established project management processes, standards, and best practices. Review contract documents and oversee compliance with client requirements, project obligations, budgets, and schedules. Identify, evaluate, and manage project risks while implementing mitigation strategies. Foster collaboration and accountability among project team members, subcontractors, consultants, and clients. Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deliverables are achieved. Monitor procurement activities and address potential impacts related to long-lead materials and equipment. Oversee subcontractor and vendor management, including contract execution, compliance, and performance. Lead project safety initiatives and support adherence to all applicable safety regulations and site requirements. Review project quality controls, inspections, audits, and corrective action processes. Manage financial performance, including forecasting, cost control, billing, change management, and profitability. Support preconstruction activities, budgeting efforts, procurement planning, bid evaluations, and project transitions. Negotiate and administer change orders, subcontract agreements, and purchase orders within delegated authority. Conduct regular project reviews, status meetings, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. Resolve project issues and disputes related to scope, schedule, cost, and contract administration. Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving initiatives. Ensure timely project closeout, turnover documentation, and client satisfaction. Participate in business development efforts, proposal support, client presentations, and relationship-building activities. Mentor and develop project management staff through coaching, performance feedback, delegation, and career development planning.

The Successful Applicant

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and relevant industry experience will be considered.

Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive construction industry experience, including significant project management responsibility.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale commercial, industrial, manufacturing, advanced technology, or mission-critical construction projects - at least $100M in construction cost
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and mentoring project management professionals.
  • Strong history of delivering projects on schedule while meeting financial and operational objectives.
