Seasonal Construction Project Manager / Superintendent – National Construction Team THIS IS A FULL-TRAVEL POSITION WITH OUR NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION TEAM.

We are currently seeking experienced Construction Project Managers / Superintendents to join our National Construction Team. This is a full-travel, field-based position supporting projects throughout the United States and is not limited to one local market or region.
Candidates must be comfortable traveling to wherever projects are located and remaining on the road for extended periods of time. Depending on the project schedule and construction season, this position may require travel for up to approximately nine months of the year.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in asphalt paving, concrete construction, and field operations and is a hands-on leader capable of managing projects from pre-construction planning through completion. This individual will be responsible for crews, subcontractors, schedules, budgets, safety, quality, and client relationships while working directly in the field.
Travel Requirements - Extensive nationwide travel is required for this position.
- This position is part of Delaware Valley Paving's National Construction Team, and projects may be located anywhere throughout the United States.
- Candidates should expect to travel for the majority of the active construction season.
- Assignments may require being away from home for extended periods based on project schedules and locations.
- Candidates must be comfortable working in a highly mobile, field-based environment and transitioning between projects and locations as business needs require.
- This is not a traditional local or office-based Project Manager position.
Key Responsibilities - Manage construction projects from pre-construction planning through successful completion.
- Lead and oversee onsite field operations, crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Coordinate and allocate labor, equipment, materials, and other resources for assigned projects.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, production, and deliverables to ensure projects remain on track.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship in accordance with project plans, specifications, client requirements, and company expectations.
- Ensure jobsites operate safely and in accordance with company policies and applicable safety requirements.
- Interface professionally with clients, project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Review project conditions and proactively identify and resolve field challenges.
- Negotiate with contractors and vendors to secure fair and reasonable pricing for change orders and additional work.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate project progress, concerns, and needs to company leadership.
- Travel throughout the country to assigned projects as required by the National Construction Team.
Qualifications - 5+ years of construction field leadership experience preferred.
- Proven experience in construction management, asphalt paving, concrete construction, or related commercial construction.
- Strong understanding of field operations, scheduling, labor management, equipment, materials, and project execution.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States for extended periods of time.
- Ability to effectively lead crews, subcontractors, and multiple project stakeholders.
- Strong professional communication skills with internal teams, clients, vendors, and field personnel.
- Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and make effective field decisions in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Deadline-driven with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
