Job Position: Traveling Security Technician

Pay Rate: $22 $35/hr

TradeSTAR is hiring Traveling Security Technicians to support commercial access control, intrusion, and integrated security projects across multiple job sites. This opportunity is ideal for technicians who enjoy traveling while installing and servicing commercial security systems.

Responsibilities
Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot commercial security and access control systems.
Install card readers, controllers, maglocks, electric strikes, door contacts, and REX devices.
Pull, route, and terminate low-voltage cabling for security and integrated systems.
Perform system testing, commissioning, and final verification at multiple project locations.
Troubleshoot IP-based access control systems and field devices.
Read blueprints, riser diagrams, wiring schematics, and project drawings.
Support the integration of access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarm systems.
Maintain organized, professional, and safe job sites while traveling.
Complete work in accordance with project specifications and manufacturer requirements.

Qualifications
1+ years of commercial access control and security experience preferred.
Experience with systems including LenelS2, Software House CCURE, Genetec, Avigilon, Brivo, Openpath, Gallagher, Honeywell Pro-Watch, or Verkada.
Strong understanding of low-voltage wiring, relay logic, and IP networking.
Ability to independently troubleshoot and commission systems.
Experience installing and servicing commercial door hardware.
Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation.
Valid driver's license required.
Willingness to travel to project locations as needed.
