Traveling Project Manager

The Traveling Project Manager will lead large-scale data center construction projects across the U.S. from preconstruction through closeout. You will join a well-established general contractor with a growing mission-critical portfolio, taking ownership of schedule, budget, subcontractor performance, and client relationships.

Description

The Traveling Project Manager will oversee data center construction projects and work closely with senior operations leadership, field teams, owners, and trade partners to ensure successful project delivery.

• Manage data center projects from preconstruction and procurement through turnover and closeout
• Own project budgets, forecasts, schedules, change orders, and cost controls
• Coordinate subcontractors and critical mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes
• Partner with Superintendents to drive schedule, quality, safety, and field execution
• Lead owner, architect, engineer, and subcontractor meetings throughout the project lifecycle
• Identify project risks early and develop solutions to protect schedule and profitability
• Maintain strong client relationships while delivering projects to contractual requirements

Profile

For the Traveling Project Manager - Data Center Construction we are seeking:

• Proven Project Manager experience with a general contractor
• Previous data center or mission-critical construction experience required
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing-intensive construction
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore and scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and client-facing skills
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively to project sites across the United States

Job Offer

• $110,000 - $160,000 base salary, depending on experience
