Traveling Nuclear Medicine Tech

Jackson HealthPros is seeking a skilled nuclear medicine technologist to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team where you’ll be responsible for preparing and administering radioactive drugs and operate radiation detection and imaging equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• An associate or bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology
• State license and certification to practice nuclear medicine
• BLS certification
• 2 years' experience as a nuclear med tech
• Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear (RT-N)
• Graduation from a formal Nuclear Medicine training program is required
• 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Med Tech in a hospital-based setting
• BLS from AHA only

• Schedule: 5x8
• EMR: Epic
• Scrub color: Black
• Weekend and on-call responsibilities are required
• Expected arrival within 30 minutes of call-in
• Flu vaccination is required for travelers from November 1-April 1. Client approved declinations/exemptions only.

Location Highlights

Cape Girardeau sits along the Mississippi River and offers access to both outdoor recreation and a walkable historic downtown. Trail of Tears State Park is about 15 miles from the city and offers hiking, camping, and river views in a quieter setting. The downtown riverfront includes the Mississippi River Tales Mural and Capaha Park is within the city for trails, sports, and open green space. Cape Girardeau also provides regional access via Interstate 55 and is about 115 miles south of St. Louis, making weekend travel practical.
