Traveling Contract Role | 2-6 Month Assignments Nationwide | Travel Required
FlexTrades is hiring experienced Multi-Tasking Lathe Machinists to produce precision-machined components in a high-quality manufacturing environment. In this role, you will independently set up and operate advanced CNC lathe equipment, perform inspections, make machine adjustments, and ensure parts meet strict quality and tolerance requirements.
Set up and operate CNC multi-tasking lathe equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, job travelers, and work instructions
Determine tooling requirements and complete machine setups independently
Perform first-piece inspections and verify part quality
Make tool wear and offset adjustments as needed
Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments
Verify GD&T requirements and dimensional specifications
Operate and monitor one or more machines during production
Perform deburring and secondary operations as required
Follow all quality, safety, and production standards
Experience setting up and operating multi-tasking CNC lathes
Experience with live tooling
Experience with multiple spindle and multiple turret machines
Ability to perform complete machine setups independently
Blueprint reading experience
Working knowledge of GD&T
Experience using precision measuring instruments
Ability to work with tight tolerances
Experience using G-code CNC equipment
Experience in a manufacturing environment
