Traveling Foreman - Commercial Construction - Base salary to 45/hr - Mid Atlantic

Our client is a commercial construction contractor seeking a Traveling Construction Foreman to supervise field operations and perform hands-on construction work on projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

This field-based position oversees crews and subcontractors, construction layout, excavation, grading, structural concrete, and PVC piping installations. Required experience includes hands-on field leadership, sitework, structural concrete construction, and Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 PVC plumbing.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily field operations, construction sequencing, and project schedules on commercial construction sites
• Supervise construction crews and subcontractors, including assigning work and monitoring progress
  
• Perform and oversee construction layout, excavation, grading, backfill, and site development activities
  
• Coordinate construction activities with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors
  
• Read construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and project documents to verify installation requirements
  
• Oversee structural concrete construction, including formwork, reinforcing steel and rebar installation, concrete placement, and finishing
• Manage Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 PVC piping and plumbing installations and related underground utility work
• Maintain daily field reports, progress records, safety observations, and project documentation using tablets and construction management software
• Perform hands-on construction work according to project scope, crew size, and subcontractor involvement
• Monitor jobsite safety, construction quality, and crew productivity

Qualifications

• Hands-on construction experience in a field leadership position such as Construction Foreman, Working Foreman, General Foreman, Superintendent, Lead Carpenter, Concrete Foreman, Civil Foreman, or Sitework Foreman
• Experience performing or overseeing construction layout, excavation, grading, backfill, and site development
• Experience overseeing structural concrete construction, including concrete forming and formwork, reinforcing steel and rebar installation, concrete placement, and concrete finishing
• Experience with both Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 PVC piping and plumbing installations
• Experience supervising field crews and subcontractors on commercial construction, heavy civil, sitework, concrete, utility, or infrastructure projects
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and project documents
• Availability to travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and work at remote project sites as required
• Experience using tablets, construction software, and digital project documentation systems

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 40/hr-45/hr range
