Job description
The Traveling Field Support Engineer is involved in all areas of microbiology equipment technology. This position is responsible for new equipment inspections and installations, administering preventative maintenance (PM), calibrating and performing electrical safety tests (EST) on automated microbiology equipment, monitoring work order requests, troubleshooting, completing repairs, and documenting all service activities.

BASIC COMPETENCES
JOB LEVEL SKILLS
Associate’s degree in Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or minimum 2–3 years of equivalent formal related training
Comfortable working in clinical environments with infectious agents and biohazards
Willingness and ability to work outside normal working hours, including weekends and holidays
Ability and willingness to travel extensively (approximately 75%) with minimal notice.
