    Position at Community Options, Inc.

    Community Options, Inc. is a national nonprofit agency providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across 11 states.

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Traveling Executive Director to oversee program operations and provide leadership support based on organizational and operational needs. This position is based in Burlington, NJ, with travel required as needed to support programs, staffing, compliance, and operational needs.

    * Must live in or be willing to relocate to Burlington County, NJ.*

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with state licensing and reporting requirements.
    • Travel to assigned programs as needed to address operational needs and provide leadership support.
    • Assess operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
    • Manage budgets, maximize revenue, and control expenditures.
    • Lead, train, and develop staff while managing team performance.
    • Develop and support residential, personalized, employment, and person-centered programs.
    • Maintain effective relationships with governmental and community agencies.
    • Ensure accurate and timely documentation, billing, financial records, and required reports.
    • Support investigations, inspections, audits, and other compliance activities.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
    • Experience in administrative and supervisory leadership roles.
    • Must be willing and able to travel as needed based on operational needs.
    • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
    • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and crisis-management skills.
    • Commitment to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
    • Successful completion of required background, registry, and drug screening.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Salary: $80,000+, based on experience, qualifications, travel, and operational needs.
