Position: Project Manager
Reports to: Senior Project Manager
Project Assignment: Midwest Region
Pay Range: $165,000 – $230,000* 

We consider several factors when preparing a compensation package for successful candidates. We also offer financial support for mid- and senior-level candidates who require relocation assistance.

Superior is looking for a Project Manager to help drive our electrical construction projects forward. The Project Manager is responsible for managing construction projects, scheduling resources, ensuring that budgets and timelines are met, and working closely with the Superintendent and Foremen to ensure the successful progress and completion of the project.

Important note for applicants: 

This role will begin on a jobsite in the Midwest, with the opportunity to support future projects in other markets as business needs evolve. 

This role requires flexibility and willingness to travel and temporarily reside near project sites for extended project assignments. Potential jobsite locations may include Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Iowa, and/or Wisconsin. 

This position is only open to candidates whose permanent primary residence is one of the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming.

If you are located within 90 miles of the job site, you would not be eligible for some traveler compensation incentives.

Key Responsibilities


  • Mitigate and manage project risk, and elevate concerns – and solutions – quickly to Project Operations and Field Operations leadership
  • Create and manage the full project schedule from project kickoff to project closeout
  • Manage all project finance requirements, including billings, project setup, project buy-out, project cost control, change order management, and cost to complete
  • Earn the trust of clients by cultivating relationships, communicating swiftly, collaborating, and solving challenges
  • Chair project meetings including planning, progress updates, and reviews with customers
  • Work with departments across the organization to ensure that project materials are available and in place as needed
  • Serve as a key leader and provide clear communication and guidance to all team members
  • Understand the full scope of the project contract and negotiate changes as needed
  • Review all project documents including estimates, design drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • Ensure the timely completion of all job closeout procedures
  • Maintain a high degree of safety on our work across the jobsite

Your Expertise


  • Required: You have at least 4 years of project operations/project management experience in commercial construction, or equivalent field operations management experience
  • Bonus Points: You have earned a bachelor’s degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field; a Construction Management certificate; or have equivalent field or project experience on a commercial construction site
  • Bonus Points: You have experience with design-build, hard bid, and negotiated projects around $5M to $50M
  • Bonus Points: You have extensive knowledge in construction management software
  • Bonus Points: You hold an active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
