Traveling Commissioning Manager
Mission Critical Data Centers – Fort Stockton, TX
Elite Executive Solutions is partnering with a general contractor to identify an experienced Commissioning Manager to oversee commissioning and system readiness for complex data center construction in Fort Stockton, Texas. This is a traveling, site-based assignment.
This opportunity is ideal for a technical leader who can align construction teams, vendors and commissioning specialists to deliver reliable, fully documented building systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop commissioning schedules, readiness milestones and turnover plans with project leadership.
- Coordinate trade contractors, equipment vendors, owner representatives and commissioning agents.
- Oversee verification, startup, functional testing and integrated testing against the project commissioning plan.
- Track deficiencies, testing documentation and corrective actions through resolution.
- Coordinate electrical power, backup generation, UPS, cooling and controls system interfaces.
- Support safe test execution through approved procedures and coordination with authorized personnel.
- Communicate readiness risks, protect testing milestones and organize final acceptance records.
Qualifications
- 8–10+ years of mission-critical or data center commissioning experience, including work with a general contractor.
- Demonstrated responsibility for commissioning from early verification through integrated testing and acceptance.
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical and controls systems and their interactions.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage technical issues and communicate with owners.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with digital commissioning tools and construction scheduling platforms preferred.
- Ability to travel and work on site in Fort Stockton.
