Position Summary: 
Ziegler Industries is seeking an experienced TravelingCoatings Foreman to lead field crews on industrial coating, painting, waterproofing, and concrete restoration projects. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for supervising daily operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate has extensive industrial coatings experience, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities: 
  • Lead and supervise crews of 3–10 industrial painters and coating applicators.
  • Perform and oversee industrial coating, painting, epoxy, fiberglass, and protective coating applications.
  • Direct daily work activities while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
  • Ensure proper surface preparation, abrasive blasting, crack repair, and coating application procedures.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
  • Enforce OSHA regulations, PPE requirements, confined space procedures, and fall protection standards.
  • Monitor environmental conditions including temperature, humidity, and dew point for proper coating application.
  • Perform quality inspections, measure wet and dry film thickness, and maintain inspection documentation.
  • Coordinate work with project managers, clients, inspectors, and other trades.
  • Manage coating materials, equipment, blasting rigs, spray systems, and inventory.
  • Train and mentor crew members on safety, equipment operation, and application techniques.
  • Complete daily reports, timekeeping, safety documentation, and production records.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, customer, and company standards.

Qualifications: 
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years of industrial coatings, waterproofing, or concrete restoration experience.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or foreman experience.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial coating systems including epoxies, polyurethanes, and fiberglass applications.
  • Experience with abrasive blasting and surface preparation standards (SSPC, NACE/AMPP).
  • Proficiency operating airless spray equipment, plural-component systems, and blasting equipment.
  • Ability to read project specifications, technical data sheets, and safety data sheets.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • OSHA 30 and NACE/AMPP CIP Level 1 certifications are highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word).

Physical Requirements: 
  • Ability to work in industrial environments exposed to weather, dust, noise, chemicals, elevated work areas, and confined spaces.
  • Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding and wear all required PPE, including respirators.
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, crouch, and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Schedule: 
  • Full-time.
  • Overtime, nights, weekends, and out-of-town travel may be required based on project needs.
