Job Description

Assist in managing daily on-site construction activities to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain project timelines and resolve on-site issues promptly. Monitor compliance with safety standards and ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Support the Superintendent in overseeing project documentation and reporting progress to stakeholders. Inspect work performed to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and quality standards. Help manage site logistics, including material deliveries and equipment coordination. Communicate effectively with team members and contractors to ensure clear understanding of project objectives. Identify potential project risks and assist in implementing solutions to mitigate them.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Traveling Assistant Superintendent should have: Experience as an Assistant Superintendent on commercial ground-up projects. Tilt wall experience preferred but not required. Strong understanding of construction sequencing and field operations. Willingness to travel temporarily for a project in the Austin area before transitioning to DFW-based work. Stable work history with strong tenure demonstrated throughout career. Ability to build relationships with subcontractors, project teams, and clients. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and desire for career growth.
