Summary

The Traveler Support Specialist plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional experience for travel clinicians while ensuring accuracy across payroll, billing, and candidate support functions. This role serves as a central point of contact for clinicians, recruiters, and internal teams-resolving pay inquiries, supporting candidate readiness, and providing real-time assistance across multiple communication channels.

This position blends operational coordination, payroll support, and customer service, requiring strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering a high-quality experience.

Works Closely With

Recruiters, Recruitment Leaders, Payroll, Accounting, Operations, and Customer Support teams to ensure accurate pay, seamless candidate submissions, and a high-quality clinician experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clinician payroll inquiries, providing clear guidance on pay, deductions, stipends, and pay statements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve payroll and billing discrepancies, partnering with payroll, accounting, and operations teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Perform payroll and billing corrections while monitoring critical deadlines to protect revenue integrity
  • Support recruiting teams by building and formatting submission-ready resumes and ensuring candidate profiles meet client requirements
  • Audit candidate documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance, coordinating with recruiters to gather missing information
  • Manage inbound inquiries through chat, phone, and messaging platforms, delivering responsive and solution-oriented support
  • De-escalate sensitive situations and provide professional, empathetic service to clinicians and candidates
  • Support lead engagement efforts by responding to outreach campaigns and routing qualified interest to recruiting teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation across systems and ensure all updates meet company quality and compliance standards
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, communication, and the overall traveler experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting payroll, billing, or financial inquiries
  • Experience in staffing, healthcare staffing, recruiting operations, or customer support
  • Experience with UKG, CRM systems, or customer communication platforms

Compensation and Benefits

$20-22 per hour depending on experience
