Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused X-Ray Technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures in a clinical environment. The technologist will prepare and position patients, operate radiologic equipment, produce high-quality diagnostic images, and follow radiation-safety and infection-control standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures according to established standards.
- Prepare and position patients for X-ray examinations.
- Adjust immobilization devices and equipment as necessary.
- Set appropriate exposure factors to obtain quality radiographic images.
- Apply radiation-protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- Follow infection-control policies and procedures.
- Process radiographs and evaluate images for quality.
- Make necessary adjustments to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
- Document patient care services and completed examinations accurately.
- Perform equipment checks, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
- Report equipment malfunctions and arrange for repairs when required.
- Maintain adequate radiology supplies and inventory.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment.
- Maintain required professional and regulatory knowledge through continuing education.
- Complete required yearly Age Specific Competency and other assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a J.C.E.R.T./JCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Active New York State License – Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T.).
- ARRT certification/registration.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic radiographic procedures.
- Ability to follow radiation-protection and infection-control practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependability and attention to quality.
