Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Pediatric X-Ray Technologist for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY. This role involves providing high-quality radiographic imaging for pediatric patients in a trauma center environment. The successful candidate will work closely with physicians and medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities of the Pediatric X-Ray Technologist- Verify patients' identity and review physicians' orders before beginning x-ray procedures
- Use x-ray equipment to take radiographic images as per physician's orders
- Explain x-ray procedures to patients and answer their questions
- Position patients for procedures, including assisting those with limited mobility
- Safely operate all radiologic equipment to maintain patient safety
- Ensure high-quality diagnostic images for Radiologist interpretation
- Notify management promptly of any equipment issues
- Utilize electronic systems for patient and exam verification
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure images are correctly sent to the PACS system
Requirements of the Pediatric X-Ray Technologist- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- NYS license or ability to obtain one prior to starting
- 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma center
- Ability to move or lift patients and stand for extended periods
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
- BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
- Minimum 1 year experience in a children's hospital
- Familiarity with pediatric fluoroscopy exams (UGI, VCUGs, Barium Enema, NICU portables)
