Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist for a travel assignment in the bustling city of Rochester, NY. Key Responsibilities of the X-Ray Technologist

• Verify patients' identity and review physicians' orders before beginning x-ray procedures
• Use x-ray equipment to take radiographic images as per physicians' written orders
• Explain procedures to patients and answer their questions
• Position patients, ensuring safety and comfort, particularly for those with limited mobility
• Safely operate all radiologic equipment and minimize patient dose
• Observe and meet each patient's age-specific needs
• Produce diagnostic, high-quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist
• Notify management of equipment issues promptly
• Utilize electronic patient information systems effectively
• Maintain accurate patient record-keeping

Requirements of the X-Ray Technologist

• Completion of training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• NYS license (or ability to obtain before starting)
• 2 years of X-Ray Technologist experience
• Level 1 trauma center experience
• Recent OR experience
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Experience using c-arm/o-arm in the past 8 months
• Ability to move or lift patients and stand for extended periods
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Patient and compassionate disposition; team player
• Ability to report within 30 minutes to on-call shift
