This role requires exhibiting superior levels of customer service. The technologist effectively operates radiographic equipment to produce quality images in various settings, including Radiology Department, Emergency Department, Operating Room, or bedside. The technologist explains procedures to patients and demonstrates appropriate positioning to obtain optimum views of specified anatomy. Equipment controls are adjusted to set exposure factors based on knowledge of the procedure and established guidelines. Effective radiation safety practices are demonstrated in this role. The technologist assists the Radiologist when necessary. Interacting with numerous computer programs and systems is a daily responsibility. Various other duties may be assigned by the Director of Radiology.
