Key Responsibilities

• Utilize imaging, computer, and other equipment to produce and retain high-quality diagnostic images that meet or exceed department, organizational, and industry standards.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and image quality to support accurate diagnostics.
• Prepare patients for procedures, provide education, and respond to questions or concerns using an age-appropriate approach to communication, safety, and patient education.
• Apply proper patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, infection control, and quality control techniques.
• Apply radiation safety techniques and devices to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
• Oversee and train students providing patient care, treatment, and services as part of their clinical training.

Required Qualifications

• ARRT(R) certification required.
• State Radiology Technologist License (RAD) required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in general radiology.
