Key Responsibilities of the Radiologic Technologist- Review and evaluate requisitions for Diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring appropriateness of the procedure prescribed.
- Identify patients correctly according to hospital policy with 2 identifiers.
- Select appropriate equipment and technical factors to identify pathologic and normal anatomy.
- Assess patients' and parents' physical and emotional status and develop a care plan specific to their needs.
- Explain examinations and answer questions regarding the exam and radiation exposure.
- Follow Departmental QC/Data Integrity Workflow.
- Practice High Reliability Training.
Requirements of the Radiologic Technologist- An Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Training in Diagnostic Radiology.
- MA Radiographer license and ARRT certification is required.
