Wound Care Nurse - located in Southern California. This role involves providing specialized wound, ostomy, and continence care to critically ill patients in an acute care setting. The position requires autonomous practice, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of wound management, serving as a resource for clinical staff and patients. The nurse collaborates closely with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure quality care and optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Dayshift, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week from 09/28/2026 to 12/27/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; relevant clinical nursing experience; RN licensure in the practice state required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; wound care certification preferred with plans to achieve within a designated timeframe.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Wound care certification; prior experience in wound, pressure injury, or tissue integrity management; EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience.
  • Essential Functions: Collects and analyzes patient health data, develops and implements care plans, evaluates progress, and coordinates with the healthcare team to provide a safe, healing environment. Maintains accurate documentation and supplies, provides patient and family education, and performs other related duties as assigned.
