Description

Job Summary: Provides health care services by applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis. Performs Sonography procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by a Radiologist, Cardiologist or a licensed independent practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of service and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Recognizes various patient conditions in order to provide appropriate patient care to ensure successful completion of the exam or procedure. Job Responsibilities: -Produce quality images for Radiologist/Cardiologist review with correct interpretation. -Prepares copy of images and records image release in electronic health record. -Verifies images archived to PACS and notifies PACS administrator of any issues. -Send images to tele-radiology service after hours as instructed. -Participates in image Peer Review with Lead. -Works with Lead, Radiologist, and Cardiologist on ACR accreditation as needed. -Assists US Coordinator, Radiology Manager, and Radiology Director in equipment and software selections. -Orders and/or restocks supplies and linens. -Report all equipment malfunction to the proper personnel. -Report any environmental safety concerns to proper personnel. -Work with Lead and vendors to schedule maintenance on equipment. -Works with EHR team, Lead, Radiology Manager and/or Radiology Director on changes/needs for the Electronic Health Record (EHR). -Verifies orders, verifies patient name/birth date and history. -Documents all incidents related to patient care on in electronic health records (example-incident reports, medications given, etc.) -Performs and documents time out procedure for invasive procedures. -Follow department protocol for all exams. -Provides initial interpretation for exams per department protocol. null Skills: Required Skills & Experience: -Less than one (1) year experience. -Accepts responsibility for words, actions, attitude, and results while meeting deadlines and performance expectations. -Practices effective, clear, and respectful communications (both verbal and written) and demonstrates attentiveness through active listening and engaged body language. -Collaborates, respects, and cooperates with all co-workers, valuing differences and addressing concerns directly, while actively contributing to the vision and results of the team. -Warmly, personally, and professionally greets all internal and external customers, promoting a high level of satisfaction by providing information about what to expect, actively listening, and intentionally following up on questions and concerns, including taking corrective action when necessary. -Writing, verbal organizational and problem-solving skills. -Ability to communicate diplomatically with other departments, peers, administrative and physicians leaders. -Assertive, honest, dependable, self-motivated, creative and reality oriented with the ability to envision and adapt to the changes of health care. -Respect for clinical expertise, critical thinking skills and leadership qualities. -Ability and willingness to work flexible schedule whenever necessary. -Computer skills with knowledge in collecting, analyzing and utilizing computerized data.
