Description

American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Sonographer with 2+ years of dedicated vascular ultrasound experience and ARDMS RVT or CCI RVS certification for a 13-week contract in an inpatient/outpatient vascular lab setting.

Details

  • Inpatient and outpatient vascular laboratory serving patients of all ages
  • Common diagnoses include PVD, CAD, HF, CVA, venous insufficiency, renal/celiac/SMA stenosis, renal transplant, and TOS
  • Daily caseload of 8–12 RVT/RVS studies
  • Procedures include carotid studies, upper/lower arterial and venous studies, DVT/reflux, vein mapping, renal, mesenteric, AAA, endograft, aorta, upper/lower PVR/segmental pressures, hemodialysis grafts, iliac veins, and arterial bypass grafts (fem-fem, fem-pop, loop grafts)
  • Equipment includes Philips Epic Elite ultrasound systems and Parks PVR/Segmental Pressures machines
  • Reporting system: VascuPro
  • EMR: Epic (experience required)
  • Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week
  • Weekend rotation required: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • May float to a High Point outpatient-only lab as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of dedicated vascular ultrasound experience, with most recent experience within the last year
  • ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or CCI Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • License required if applicable
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Proficiency in carotid, arterial, venous, DVT/reflux, vein mapping, renal, mesenteric, AAA, endograft, aortic, PVR/segmental pressures, hemodialysis graft, iliac vein, and arterial bypass graft studies
  • Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
  • Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
  • Former permanent employees of any AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible
  • 3-day departmental orientation provided
