POSITION SUMMARY – CA - Utilization Review Nurse / Case Manager

POSITION DUTIES – Assess the medical necessity and appropriateness of healthcare services using InterQual, MCG, and payer guidelines, coordinate patient care across the continuum, secure authorizations, monitor resource utilization and length of stay, facilitate discharge planning, manage denials and appeals, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, educate patients and families, and ensure regulatory compliance while promoting quality outcomes and cost-effective care.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS –

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California, in good standing.
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
Minimum 4 years of recent clinical nursing experience in an acute care hospital, case management, utilization review, or discharge planning setting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS – Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT – 13 weeks

SHIFT / HOURS PER WEEK – 8:00am - 4:30pm

SYSTEMS – CPSI/Evident

START DATE – ASAP
