Description

American Traveler is hiring a Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer for a night shift hospital role requiring 4+ years of experience and RVT certification or extensive vascular experience.

Details

  • Ambulatory and/or hospital setting performing ultrasound procedures under general supervision of a radiologist or physician
  • 4x10 hour night shifts, Monday through Thursday, 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM
  • Inpatient/hospital experience required
  • May be required to take call
  • Caribbean Blue scrub color required

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
  • BLS certification (AHA only) required
  • RDMS or ARRT certification required
  • ARDMS-RVT certification required, or extensive vascular experience
  • Active TX license required if applicable
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
  • Flu shot required with no exemptions granted
  • 2 professional references required

Additional Information

  • Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner
  • Communicate with patients and families regarding procedures using AIDET framework
  • Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, including positioning and adjusting imaging controls
  • Adhere to safety, infection-control, and radiation policies while using proper sterile techniques
  • Maintain equipment, work area, and supply inventory to quality standards
  • Document patient history, consent forms, and procedure details accurately
  • Work within PACS, EMR, and other imaging systems per department workflows
  • Care for patients across all age groups from newborn to geriatric
  • May serve as a trainer for new team members or services
  • First-time travelers may be considered
