Description

American Traveler is hiring a night shift Ultrasound Technologist with pediatric and vascular scanning experience for a 13-week assignment in a pediatric hospital setting.

Details

• Pediatric hospital setting with an Ultrasound department staffed 24/7
• 3x12 hour night shifts, Monday-Wednesday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Primarily performs portable exams during overnight hours, including in the ER which is located on the same floor as Ultrasound
• Performs NICU exams as needed during overnight hours, typically around 2 AM
• Common exams include renal, pylorus, intussusception, neonatal head, appendix, soft tissue, and some vascular studies
• Weekday backup call approximately 4 times per month to assist the on-duty tech if needed
• Works independently overnight with backup call support available for questions or assistance

Requirements

• ARDMS certification required (license required if applicable, does not need to be Nebraska specific)
• Pediatric scanning experience required
• Vascular scanning experience required
• Comfortable working independently during overnight shifts
• Able to perform portable ultrasound exams

Additional Information

• Perform a variety of pediatric ultrasound exams including renal, pylorus, intussusception, neonatal head, appendix, and soft tissue studies
• Backup call tech available to assist or come in if needed during overnight hours
• Training provided by the ultrasound team for any studies the traveler is not confident performing
• Former perm employees of the facility are not accepted for this travel position
• Candidates must live outside a 100 mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
